My background in athletics and interest in physiology and human anatomy drew me to a career in Massage Therapy. In 2012 I enrolled at Grant MacEwan University to expand my understanding of advanced anatomy, physiology, orthopaedic assessment and kinesiology. Over the course of my diploma, I acquired the methods and skills used in: Swedish Massage, Prenatal Massage, Infant and Child Massage, Hydrotherapy, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Active/Passive Release, Trigger Point Release and Deep Tissue Massage techniques. I entered into Massage Therapy with a strong desire to heal, both physically and emotionally. While I do not have post-secondary training in psychology, I do strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment, allowing my patient the opportunity to release the stress of the day, relaxing in a soft melody. My goal is always focused on the details, no matter how small, that will allow you to leave the studio restored, with your injuries mending.
Outside of the studio, I spend a great deal of time with my family, soaking up every moment with my nieces and nephews, before they turn another year older. When I'm not with them, there is a good chance I am going on a walk or a run with my husband, Shane, and dog, Bella. I'm ecstatic to be part of such a positive team at Bloom Therapy and I can't wait to begin treatments with you!
